Maggie Grace is an American actor who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. She was born in Worthington in Ohio. She was kicked out of high school after her parents divorced to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. Though she struggled financially in 2001, her debut came acting as Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002, she was awarded an Young Artist Award in 2002 for her performance in Murder on the streets of Greenwich of a 15-year young Martha Moxley as a murder victim, Grace went on to win. Grace Rutherford played Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004, as well as sharing the Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) along with her. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a writer and director in 2021, with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
